my brother was a damn jackass. the first morning i was home for spring break i woke up to the sound of my mom screaming for help. i jumped off the couch and ran towards the hallway where my brother was being an asshole pummeling her with his fists. apparently, she told him to do something, like eat breakfast but he called her a bitch so she got mad. then it all lead up to this. i don't remember how i found this out. anyway, i slammed him against the wall to get him off my mom. he gets pissed off at me now and punches me in the face once or twice. i really wanted to beat him up but everytime i tried to my mom would stop and my brother would got mad that i would dare try to hit him so he'd hit my mom since he couldn't hit me. so i had to stop. she even begged me to get the neighbor because he was so out of control.

my mom had a swollen cheek and my lips were cut and bruised. you could tell he's sorry because when he finally looked at my face the next day he looked astonished and possibly guilty at what he did. he even saw my mom's cheek and said sorry to her. i think he knows that he shouldn't do things like that. he just doesn't know it when he loses his temper.

sometimes i think he's just eager to use his 'strength'. and at times i just want to show him that he's not all that strong. but i know that violence only leads to violence. it has to stop somewhere.

and sometimes i get sick that my mom won't set her foot down. when i was trying to stop my brother from attacking her.. she just stood there blocking herself instead of getting away or at least trying to stop him.

sometimes my bro is weird (when he's not being an asshole). he makes right-wing comments about not trusting arab americans, or how stupid protesters are, or how we should all follow the president. so i asked him "what have you been watching?" "the racist channel." so i guess he's being sarcastic.
